TOTAL YEARLY PRODUCTION: 30.000 bottles only in outstanding vintages.
NAME OF VINEYARD: "Regione Molsino" in the town of Gattinara, with a total area of 10 hectares, at 300 meters elevation; rocky soil, rich in minerals. One of the best vineyard of the entire Gattinara appellation with mainly southern exposure.
GRAPES: Nebbiolo 100%.
YIELD PER HECTARE: 40 hl max.
AGEING: Minimum ageing 4 years; 3 years in Slavonian oak casks, 1 year refining in bottle.
ALCOHOL CONTENT: 12,5 - 13%.
COLOUR: Garnet colored when young, turning to a brick shade when aged.
BOUQUET: Scent of violets and red fruits, with firm spice flavour.
FLAVOUR: Dry, full and balanced; it has an excellent structure and typical bitter finish.
TASTING TEMPERATURE: 18/20° C.
STORAGE: Bottle has to be stored horizontally, in a dry place, avoid light, vibrations and heat; storage temperature 12 - 15°C.

TO BE SERVED WITH: Grilled meats and game, hard grained or fermented cheese; it is a perfect wine after meal and for meditation.

 

VINIFICATION: Grapes are harvested only in perfect health conditions and only when full ripening has been reach. The Grapes are destemmed without crushing the raisins and then pressed gently. Fermentation is carried out at controlled temperature in oak vats for 12/15 days with several pump over per day for the best colour extraction.

Made only in outstanding vintages and in very limited quantities. This wine is vinified exclusively from the "Vigneto Molsino" grapes, a vineyard entirely owned by NERVI that stands out as the best production area for microclimate, position and composition of the soil in the territory of D.O.C.G. GATTINARA.
